Now that Dev.D is doing so well, please remember that it was Nanga Fakir who first hailed Anurag Kashyap as India's Tarantino-meets-Scorsese.
[Yes, Nanga Fakir saw the movie and was totally won over]
Here's a terrific piece by Kashyap in Tehelka about his struggles in the Hindi film industry.
PS 1: Gulaal hits the screens in March. Be there.
PS 2: Speaking of Tarantino, the long wait finally seems to come to an end. Inglourious Basterds will finally be out in May!

I don't know...tarantino's usp is he brings humor to the dark materials...with kashyap...there's no such thing...he doesn't tickle the funny bone in his potrayal of dark subjects.
Tauba ter jalwa Tauba tera pyaar...
Tera emosional atyachaar!
there once was hindi cinema,
then came new wave,
but some think new wave is old enough, check out the new new wave-

I was told it was being called "Hindie Cinema"
Well, till yesterday it was being called Hindi new wave, at least in PFC circuits
The Gulaal trailer, however, after awesome Dev D/No Smoking/Black Friday trailers, leaves much to be desired...
<*Sigh*> True enough...but I'm sure the movie will be at least as good, if not better than Dev D.
