Vignettes

  2. I prefer to call it the 'home advantage' in writing!

  3. Essence lies in those surnames only. 'Kapoor', 'Malhotra' sound way too 'yo' to be included in such descriptions.

  4. Hi Abhinav, this is Vikram Johari. We met at IIM L when you came down to see Apurva. How are you? I searched you on FB. Are you there?

  5. @Don: Yes. Precisely so.

@Johri: Hello old friend! Good to see you!

You won't find any Facebook profile since there isn't any! Still very old school - email and phone's all that I have.

  7. Ah the times have changed, when "email and phone" are considered old school.

  9. methinks the word you are looking for is apeksha and not ummeed, eh?

  10. Nope!

"Ummeed" seems more natural. "Apeksha" is more contrived and unnecessarily Sanskritzed.

Also compare the use of "ujjad", "alhad", "be-takalluf" and their juxtapositioning with "koop_mandookta".

  11. sorry, but what does koop mandookta mean ?

    the rest, i got :)

p.s. you used to write a lot of stuff on ur other blog , do u still post there ?

  12. @photogenic: Koop = well (the one which has water), mandook = frog.

    Hence koop_mandook = frog in a well.

The other blog has nothing but recycled 'fiction' labeled posts from this blog. Every now and then NF posts the relevant material on the other blog.
